Today is a day for celebrating and that is because one year ago today I launched this little blog of mine! In my mind, creating this blog was my way of announcing to the world that I was officially diving head first into a dream that I have been dreaming since I was a little girl.
In the last year this blog has allowed me to share things that inspire me; ideas I have had, which were sometimes based on something as simple as a cup of tea; mood boards for future events; flowers that make me swoon; resources for couples planning their nuptials and of course images from weddings, events and styled shoots that I have designed and planned.
Of course not all of my posts were as neat and packaged as pretty as I would like. I struggled with finding my own voice, style and way of blogging that complimented my true passion of crafting beautiful and inspiring events; I struggled with finding inspiration at times and finding time to write as often as I would like; I struggled with how to create posts that looked as beautiful on here as they did in my head, and I struggled with writing, plain and simple. Writing--something that I have always felt confident in, was suddenly challenging. But oh how happy am I to have had and continue to have these struggles, because through the frustration there have been many lessons learned and many gains made. This blog has kept me accountable and pushed me to keep doing what I’m doing. At times when I have felt confused and frustrated as a young entrepreneur or scared because I was reaching for a dream that is so close to my heart, I had this blog to make it real and tangible, a place to simply share inspiration all while fumbling along the way.
So many wonderful and exciting things have happened in the last year and are happening right now. At times I feel like these things are happening so fast I can’t seem to catch up, but that’s all part of growing and growing is good. I could not be happier or feel more blessed and grateful to be able to be do something that I love, be creative every single day and share bits and pieces of it with you along the way. Thank you all for following along with me this last year. Stay tuned for some BIG and exciting news to come in the next few weeks!
