One thing that I love about winter is the abundance of fresh citrus at our local grocery stores and markets. Living on the East Coast, we do not always have the best choices for produce. Often things are shipped in from other countries around the world and by the time they reach New England, they are not always the freshest. In the winter months, however, we are lucky to receive beautiful and tasty citrus from Florida, California and elsewhere in the United States. Oranges, lemons, limes and tangerines offer a fresh, sweet and colorful solution to the long bitter and cold winter days. What is better than citrus alone? A combination of perfectly picked citrus and fresh blooms. I hope you enjoy the fresh and bright images below and that they brighten up this wintry day.
