Lobster Bake Rehearsal Dinner

It is hard to believe that it is already August!  The summer season is definitely flying by, but I'm looking forward to what is sure to be an awesome month.  I know our blog posts have been minimal the last few months, but that is because we have been busy, busy over here at L. brook events celebrating with clients, planning, designing and dreaming about upcoming fall weddings.  Before I shift my brain to pumpkins and apple cider, I want to reminisce about some of the fun that has happened this summer.Back in June I had the honor of working with two very special people, you probably remember this post where I gave you a sneak peek into their beautiful and romantic wedding day.  I also had the honor of working with the groom's parents to plan a lobster bake rehearsal dinner to kick off the weekend.  Many guest traveled from far away to attend this wedding (some as far as England) and it was important to the bride, groom and their families to welcome guests on Friday night and let them know how much their presence was appreciated.  It was the perfect way to kick off this intimate wedding weekend, which set the tone for the weekend's festivities.  The groom's mother and I worked on incorporating the perfect amount of kitsch into the bake to create a seemingly coastal setting, despite the fact that we were hundreds of miles from the ocean.  Here is a peek into some of the details from the celebration.
