Despite the cold and snow that February usually brings, I love this month so much because I get to celebrate my husband's birthday and then a week later I get to celebrate Valentine's Day. Whether you are single, engaged, in love, or married, Valentine's Day is for everyone-- really it is, I saw that exact quote on a sign at the grocery store this morning. Ever since I was a little kid, I have LOVED this holiday for so many reasons; I love to make Valentine's for my family and friends, I love chocolate and this is basically a holiday that is sponsored by chocolate, and I love all the fun, feminine and creative crafts there are that go along with the holiday.
This year I thought it would be fun to create a Valentine's Day Gift Guide filled with some of the things I would love to receive myself, but also to help the guys and gals out there that want to give something a little more special and thoughtful than the traditional dozen red roses...not that there is anything wrong with that :)
One. I love all of the Linnea's Lights candles (and I have gifted these a few times to clients and friends) but I especially love the Peony scent. Bonus, these candles come in a beautiful box ready to gift, with a hidden box of matches in the lid!
Two. Rebecca Minkoff is known for her modern, yet timeless handbags and accessories. Plus, how could you resist this purse in the most perfect shade of pink? Perfect for winter and spring!
Three. A cozy, soft cashmere scarf in blush is just what I need to deal with all of this snow on the East coast!
Five. So I don't own any jumpsuits or rompers, but I have been wanting to try them out and think this floral one is perfect for a casual dinner with friends or a beach side dinner.
Six. I love the intricate detailing on all Tacori jewelry, but I especially love these Amethyst and Rose Gold Studs from Springer's Jewelers.
Seven. This hot pink dress from Rebecca Taylor is the perfect dress for a Valentine's date. It could easily be worn with tights and a blazer now, or on its own in warmer weather.
Eight. Full disclosure I already own these comfy, fleece joggers and I love them!
Nine. First I owned a Polaroid camera, then I owned the younger sibling version--an iZone camera, and so it only makes sense that I try out the latest, twenty- something hip friend, the Fujifilm Instax Mini.
What are your favorite gifts to receive or give for Valentine's Day? Do you have any fun plans to celebrate the holiday? I would love to hear your thoughts below!
